Automated Tattoo Commission Report
Every Monday, WebRun opens Square Appointments, collects all completed transactions from the prior week, applies each artist's commission rate or booth-fee structure, writes a detailed breakdown to Google Sheets, and posts a summary to Slack so the studio owner can review before processing pay.
How do I automatically calculate tattoo artist commissions and booth fees each week?
WebRun pulls all completed Square Appointments transactions for the prior week every Monday, applies each artist's commission rate or booth-fee structure, and writes a detailed per-artist breakdown to Google Sheets. A Slack summary gives the studio owner the key figures for review before any payment is processed.
- The studio owner has a ready-to-review commission report in Google Sheets every Monday morning
- Each artist's payout is calculated accurately using their individual rate or booth-fee structure
- Significant week-on-week variances are flagged before payroll is processed
Built for tattoo studio owners · studio managers · multi-artist tattoo shops · tattoo booth renters

Questions, answered
Does it pay artists directly or process any transactions?
No. WebRun calculates and records the commission figures in Google Sheets and posts a summary to Slack. All payments are made separately by the studio owner after reviewing and approving the report.
Can it handle different commission rates or booth-fee structures for different artists?
Yes. Add each artist's rate or booth-fee amount to a rates tab in the Google Sheet and WebRun will apply the correct structure for each person when it calculates the weekly breakdown.
What if a transaction is voided or refunded after the report runs?
The report reflects Square's data at the time of Monday's run. Any refunds or voids processed during the week will appear as adjustments in the following Monday's report, with a note indicating the change.
