Universal Prohibitions

The following uses of WebRun are strictly prohibited for all users and use cases.

  • Acquire, distribute, or facilitate the exchange of illegal or controlled substances
  • Engage in or facilitate human trafficking, exploitation, or forced labor
  • Launder money or finance terrorism
  • Violate export controls or sanctions
  • Infringe, misappropriate, or violate intellectual property rights
  • Violate any other applicable laws or regulations in any jurisdiction
  • Launch, manage, or scale automated political campaigns on social media or other platforms
  • Generate automated political messaging, posts, comments, or direct messages at scale
  • Create fake accounts or personas to simulate grassroots political support (astroturfing)
  • Target voters based on demographic, geographic, or psychographic profiles
  • Spread election-related misinformation or disinformation
  • Suppress voter participation or discourage legitimate political engagement
  • Interfere with voting systems, voter registration, or election administration
  • Circumvent platform policies on political advertising or campaign disclosure
  • Engage in political lobbying using fabricated information or fake grassroots campaigns

This prohibition applies regardless of jurisdiction, political affiliation, or stated intent.

  • Perform credential stuffing, password spraying, or account takeover attacks
  • Create fake accounts on third-party platforms
  • Engage in click fraud, ad fraud, or impression fraud
  • Generate fake engagement including likes, comments, shares, followers, or reviews
  • Automate ticket purchasing for resale (ticket scalping)
  • Manipulate surveys, polls, or contests for financial or competitive benefit
  • Impersonate individuals, organizations, or brands to deceive others
  • Create or distribute counterfeit goods or fraudulent documents
  • Engage in price manipulation, market manipulation, or pump-and-dump schemes
  • Operate pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing scams, or advance-fee fraud
  • Mass post to forums, comment sections, message boards, or social media
  • Distribute unsolicited messages via email, SMS, or messaging platforms
  • Manipulate search engine rankings through fake clicks, link schemes, or cloaking
  • Flood classified advertising sites (such as Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or similar)
  • Abuse referral programs, promotional offers, or loyalty systems
  • Circumvent rate limits, bans, or access restrictions on third-party platforms
  • Overwhelm third-party systems with excessive requests that degrade service
  • Launch denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
  • Exploit vulnerabilities in systems, networks, or applications without authorization
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious code
  • Conduct phishing campaigns or harvest credentials
  • Bypass authentication, authorization, or security controls
  • Access data behind login walls without proper authorization
  • Intercept, monitor, or modify communications not intended for you
  • Develop tools for unauthorized surveillance or tracking
  • Compromise critical infrastructure including power grids, healthcare systems, financial networks, or transportation systems
  • Collect personal data without consent or lawful basis under applicable privacy laws
  • Scrape or aggregate personal information for unauthorized purposes
  • Conduct facial recognition or biometric identification without authorization
  • Stalk, surveil, or track individuals without their knowledge and consent
  • Expose private information (doxxing) or facilitate harassment
  • Build profiles on individuals for discriminatory purposes
  • Collect data on minors without parental consent where required by law
  • Create, distribute, access, or facilitate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
  • Generate content that sexualizes, grooms, or exploits minors
  • Facilitate child trafficking or any form of child abuse
  • Promote, facilitate, or provide instructions for self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
  • Incite violence, terrorism, or hate crimes against any individual or group
  • Promote discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Coordinate harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse campaigns
  • Create or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery

We report apparent child sexual abuse material and child endangerment to relevant authorities.

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing WebRun services without prior written authorization
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, suspensions, or usage limits
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract WebRun's source code
  • Interfering with WebRun's infrastructure, security, or other users' access
  • Misrepresenting your identity, use case, or affiliation when registering
  • Sharing account credentials or API keys with unauthorized parties
  • Using WebRun to develop competing products or services

WebRun may proactively limit, block, or require additional verification for automation involving the following categories.

Government and Military Systems

Access to government portals, military systems, or classified information repositories is restricted and may require explicit authorization.

Financial Institution Internal Systems

Automation targeting internal banking systems, trading platforms, or payment processors beyond publicly available interfaces requires verification.

Healthcare Systems

Access to healthcare provider systems, patient portals, or medical records requires compliance attestation (e.g., HIPAA in the US).

Critical Infrastructure

Automation targeting utilities, transportation systems, emergency services, or telecommunications infrastructure is prohibited without explicit authorization.

Streaming and Media Platforms

Automation that circumvents digital rights management, downloads protected content, or violates streaming platforms' terms of service is prohibited.

Gambling and Lottery

Automated participation in gambling, lotteries, or games of chance is prohibited.

Cryptocurrency and NFT Platforms

Automation targeting cryptocurrency exchanges, DeFi protocols, or NFT marketplaces for trading, arbitrage, or market manipulation is prohibited.

Certain use cases require additional safeguards due to their potential impact on individuals or society.

Financial Decisions

If WebRun is used to collect data that informs credit decisions, loan approvals, or financial eligibility determinations, a qualified human must review the data and decision before it affects any individual.

Employment Decisions

If WebRun is used for resume screening, background checks, or employment eligibility, you must comply with applicable employment laws (such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act in the US) and ensure human oversight of all decisions.

Healthcare Applications

If WebRun is used in connection with medical decisions, patient care, or health data, you must attest to compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and ensure appropriate professional oversight.

Legal Applications

If WebRun is used to collect evidence, conduct legal research, or inform legal decisions, appropriate professional supervision is required.

Minors' Data

If your use case involves collecting or processing data related to minors, you must comply with applicable child protection laws (such as COPPA in the US) and implement age-appropriate safeguards.

Journalistic or Investigative Use

Security Research

WebRun supports responsible security research conducted in good faith. Security researchers may use WebRun for authorized penetration testing and vulnerability research provided that:

  • You have explicit written authorization from the owner of any system being tested
  • You do not access, modify, or exfiltrate data beyond what is necessary to demonstrate the vulnerability
  • You follow coordinated disclosure practices and report vulnerabilities to affected parties
  • You do not conduct research on WebRun's own systems without prior written authorization from WebRun

Enforcement

Monitoring and Investigation

WebRun monitors usage patterns to detect potential policy violations. We may investigate suspected violations and may access usage logs and metadata as part of any investigation.

Consequences

Violations of this Usage Policy may result in:

  • Warning — For first-time or minor violations, we may issue a warning and request corrective action
  • Temporary Suspension — For repeated or moderate violations, we may temporarily suspend access
  • Permanent Termination — For severe violations, we will permanently terminate access without refund
  • Legal Action — For illegal activities or violations that cause significant harm, we may pursue legal remedies and cooperate with law enforcement

Cooperation with Law Enforcement

WebRun cooperates with law enforcement agencies when required by law or when we reasonably believe it necessary to protect public safety. We may report illegal activities to relevant authorities.

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal by contacting [email protected]. We will review appeals in good faith but reserve the right to make final determinations at our sole discretion.
