Automated iQueue Open OR Time Alerts

Every morning, WebRun opens LeanTaaS iQueue, finds open and newly released OR time in the next seven days by room and date, logs each slot to a Google Sheets availability board, and posts the day's open time to Slack so eligible surgeons' schedulers can see it and request it through your normal process.

In short

How do I let schedulers know about open OR time before it goes unused?

Every morning, WebRun checks LeanTaaS iQueue for open and released OR time in the next seven days and logs each slot to a Google Sheets availability board. It posts the day's open time to Slack, so eligible surgeons' schedulers see what's available and request it through your normal process, and open time gets noticed and filled before it goes unused.

  • Open OR time gets noticed the same morning it appears, not days later
  • Slots sitting unclaimed for more than 3 days are flagged automatically
  • Nothing is booked by the broadcast itself, so your normal request process stays in control

Questions, answered

Does posting a slot to Slack book or commit it to anyone?

No. The broadcast is informational only. A slot is only booked when a scheduler requests it through your normal process in LeanTaaS iQueue and it's approved there.

How fresh is the list each morning?

It rechecks iQueue live each run, so any slot requested or booked since yesterday is removed automatically before the broadcast goes out.

Can it flag slots that have gone unclaimed for a while?

Yes. Any slot that has sat on the board for more than 3 days without a request is marked, so schedulers and leadership can see where interest is lowest.

Put this on autopilot.
