What counts as a discrepancy?
Any shift where the counted cash differs from the expected cash by more than the threshold you set, for example 5 dollars. Set it tighter or looser and the alert follows.
Does it accuse an employee of anything?
No. It only reports the numbers: expected cash, counted cash, and the difference, per employee and shift. What you do with that information is entirely up to you.
What if a shift was closed with no cash count?
