Automated Unsold Consignment Pickup Reminders

Every morning, WebRun checks Ricochet for consignment periods that have ended with unsold items, drafts a courteous pickup or donation-waiver notice for each consignor, and posts a Slack list to staff so every outgoing notice is approved before it reaches a consignor.

In short

How do I automatically remind consignors to pick up unsold items?

Every morning, WebRun scans Ricochet for consignment periods that have ended with unsold items, drafts a courteous pickup or donation-waiver notice for each consignor in Gmail, and posts a Slack digest for staff to review. No notice reaches a consignor until a team member approves it, protecting your store from miscommunication.

  • Expired consignors are notified before uncollected items pile up on the floor
  • Staff handle approvals instead of drafting individual pickup emails
  • No consignor is contacted about unsold items without a human review

Built for consignment shop owners · resale store managers · thrift and secondhand boutique operators

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.ricochethq.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Ricochet - find expired periods with unsold items
    • Open Ricochet and filter consigned inventory for items whose consignment period has ended
    • Identify items that remain unsold and have not yet triggered a pickup notice
    • Group unsold items by consignor and capture each consignor's name, email, item list, and expiry date
    • Note whether your store policy offers a pickup window, a donation option, or both

Done when Every consignor with expired, unsold items is listed with their contact details and item summary.

  3. 2

    • Include your donation policy and any waiver option if the consignor wishes to donate instead of collecting
    • Save each email as a draft in Gmail, leaving it unsent for staff review

Done when A Gmail draft notice exists for every consignor with expired, unsold items, ready for staff approval before sending.

  4. 3
Slack - queue notices for staff approval
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: queue notices for staff approval

Questions, answered

Will it contact consignors about unsold items without staff approval?

No. Every pickup or donation notice is saved as a Gmail draft and held until a staff member reviews and sends it. No consignor is contacted without human sign-off.

Can it handle both a pickup option and a donation waiver in the same email?

Yes. You configure your policy in the setup, and WebRun drafts the notice to reflect whichever options your store offers, including a pickup deadline and a donation opt-in if applicable.

What if a consignor collects their items before the notice is sent?

WebRun reads live inventory data from Ricochet on every run, so items already collected or extended are excluded automatically before the draft is created.

Put this on autopilot.
