Flexport Automated Country of Origin Verification

Every morning, WebRun scans upcoming Flexport shipments for line items where the country of origin is missing, unverified, or flagged as inconsistent with the supplier's declared country. It builds a verification worklist in Google Sheets and drafts a supplier inquiry for your team to review and send before the shipment is filed.

In short

How do I automatically build a country-of-origin verification worklist for upcoming shipments?

WebRun scans every upcoming Flexport shipment each morning for line items with missing or unverified country-of-origin data. It builds a prioritised worklist in Google Sheets sorted by arrival date and drafts supplier inquiry emails in Gmail for your team to review and send, so every customs entry is filed with verified origin data.

  • Every shipment has verified origin data before the customs entry is filed
  • Supplier inquiries drafted and ready, but held for human approval before sending
  • Urgent items on shipments arriving within 5 days highlighted automatically

Built for trade compliance teams · customs brokers · import managers · procurement teams · supply chain compliance officers

Questions, answered

Will it send the supplier inquiry emails automatically?

No. WebRun drafts the inquiry emails in Gmail but leaves them unsent for your compliance team to review and send. Origin inquiries can carry legal weight, so a human must approve each one before it goes out.

What counts as an unverified country of origin?

It flags any Flexport line item where the country of origin field is blank, where the stated origin differs from the supplier's registered country, or where Flexport has raised a compliance alert on that product.

Does it work with preferential origin under FTA rules?

It identifies gaps and flags them for review. FTA preferential origin analysis requires your compliance team's judgment; WebRun surfaces the items that need that analysis, it does not make the determination.
