In short

How do I check that a nightly file upload actually arrived?

Every night WebRun signs in to Yandex Disk, checks the folders where your nightly exports and supplier uploads are meant to land, and compares each expected file against what actually arrived. It logs the result in Google Sheets and messages WhatsApp the moment a file is missing or too small.

  • A broken feed is caught the same night, not a week later
  • Truncated exports are flagged even when the file technically arrived
  • Clean nights get a one line all clear so silence never means success

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens disk.yandex.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Yandex Disk - check tonight's arrivals
    disk.yandex.com
WebRun in Yandex Disk: check tonight's arrivals
WebRun opens Yandex Disk to check tonight's arrivals.
    • Sign in to Yandex Disk and open each folder on your expected file list, including the shared ones
    • Find tonight's file for each entry and record its name, upload time and size
    • Compare the size against the recent average for that file and mark anything unusually small
    • Read only. Never delete, move, rename or overwrite a file, and never change a folder's sharing

Done when Every expected file has been looked for and its arrival time and size recorded.

  3. 2
Google Sheets - log every expected file
    google.com
WebRun in Google Sheets: log every expected file
WebRun opens Google Sheets to log every expected file.
    • Add a row per expected file with tonight's date, whether it arrived, the arrival time and the size
    • Mark each row arrived, late, missing or undersized against the rules you set
    • Keep every past night so a feed that fails intermittently becomes visible over a few weeks
    • Update the recent average size for each file so the next run compares against fresh numbers

Done when Tonight's row is in the sheet for every expected file with its status recorded.

  4. 3
WhatsApp - alert you when one is missing
    whatsapp.com
WebRun in WhatsApp: alert you when one is missing
WebRun opens WhatsApp to alert you when one is missing.
    • Message the operations group only when something is missing, late or undersized
    • Name the file, the folder it belongs in, the expected time and what actually happened
    • Include how many nights in a row that file has failed, since a repeat is a different problem
    • Send a one line all clear when every expected file arrived at a normal size

Done when The operations group knows exactly which feeds failed tonight, or that all of them landed.

Questions, answered

Will it move or delete any files?

No. WebRun only looks at what is in the folder. It never deletes, moves, renames or overwrites a file, and it never changes who a folder is shared with.

How does it know a file is too small?

It compares tonight's size with the recent average for that same file stored in the sheet, so a truncated export is caught even when the file technically arrived.

Do I get a message when everything is fine?

Yes, a single all clear line. Failures get the detail, and clean nights get one short confirmation so silence is never mistaken for success.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
