Automated UpCloud Server Resource Alerts
Every hour, WebRun opens the UpCloud Hub, checks every server's CPU, memory, and disk usage against the thresholds you set, creates a Trello card naming the server and which resource is stretched, and sends you a WhatsApp ping so a resource problem gets looked at before the server actually falls over.
How do I get warned before an UpCloud server runs out of resources?
Every hour, WebRun checks every UpCloud server's CPU, memory, and disk usage against the thresholds you set. It creates a Trello card naming the server and the stretched resource, and sends you a WhatsApp ping with a link to the card, so a resource problem gets looked at before the server actually falls over.
- A stretched server gets caught within the hour, not after it goes down
- Every alert names the exact resource and usage, not a vague warning
- A Trello card tracks the fix through to resolved instead of getting lost in chat

What does WebRun do on every run?
The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.
-
WebRun signs in and gets to work
Opens
hub.upcloud.comin a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys. -
1
UpCloud - check server resource usage
WebRun opens UpCloud to check server resource usage. - Open the UpCloud Hub and check CPU, memory, and disk usage for every server
- Compare each reading against the threshold you set per resource
- Capture which server and which specific resource is over threshold
Done when Every server's resource usage is checked against its threshold.
-
2
Trello - create a card to track it
WebRun opens Trello to create a card to track it. - Create a Trello card on the infrastructure board for each server over threshold
- Name the server and the resource, with the current usage percentage
- Leave the card open until someone marks the fix done
Done when Every over threshold server has an open Trello card.
-
3
WhatsApp - ping you on WhatsApp
WebRun opens WhatsApp to ping you on WhatsApp. - Send yourself a WhatsApp message naming the server and the stretched resource
- Link to the new Trello card
- Send only to your own saved number
Done when A WhatsApp ping has gone out for every new card this run.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Does it resize the server or add resources itself?
No. WebRun only reports which server and resource is stretched. Resizing a plan or adding resources always stays a decision you make in UpCloud.
How do I set the usage threshold?
You set a percentage for CPU, memory, and disk during setup, and WebRun compares every hourly reading against exactly that number.
Will I get repeated pings for the same problem?
The Trello card stays open so the issue is tracked, but WebRun only sends a fresh WhatsApp ping when a server newly crosses the threshold, not every single hour it stays over.
