Automated monday.com Unassigned Item Audit
Every Monday, WebRun opens monday.com, walks each board group by group, collects items whose person column is empty or whose date column is blank, posts the gaps to your Microsoft Teams channel, and sends you a short Telegram summary before the week starts.
How do I find monday.com items with no owner or due date?
WebRun audits your monday.com boards every Monday morning, reading every group for items whose person column or date column is empty. It posts the gaps to Microsoft Teams grouped by board and sends you a Telegram count, so the project lead fills every hole before the week's work begins.
- Every board item has a name and a date before Monday standup
- Work stops going missing for want of an owner
- The lead sees which board drifts most, week on week

1
monday.com - find items with no owner or date
WebRun opens monday.com to find items with no owner or date. - Open monday.com and go through each active board you have chosen to watch
- Read every item in every group, including items collapsed under a group header
- Capture items whose person column is empty, and items whose date column has no date
- Note the board, the group, the item name, and which of the two is missing
- Skip groups you have marked as archived or done
Done when Every watched board has been read and each item missing an owner or a date is listed.
-
2
Microsoft Teams - post the gaps to the team
WebRun opens Microsoft Teams to post the gaps to the team. - Post the gap list to your project channel in Microsoft Teams, grouped by board
- Lead with the boards carrying the most holes, so the biggest problem is read first
- Split each board into items with no owner and items with no date
- Leave the post for the project lead to assign. WebRun never edits a board item itself
Done when The team channel has this week's gap list, split by board.
-
3
Telegram - send you the summary
WebRun opens Telegram to send you the summary. - Send a one-line Telegram count: items with no owner, items with no date, boards affected
- Name the board with the most unassigned work first
- Compare against last Monday so a board that keeps drifting is visible
Done when You have the Monday gap count in Telegram.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it assign people to items itself?
No. WebRun reads your boards and reports the gaps. Assigning an owner or setting a date stays with the project lead, so nobody wakes up owning work they never agreed to.
Can I limit it to certain boards?
Yes. Name the boards or groups you care about and WebRun reads only those, skipping archived groups and any board you leave off the list.
What counts as a gap?
An item with an empty person column, or an item with a blank date column, on a board you asked WebRun to watch. Items already marked done are skipped.
Put this on autopilot.
