Automated Limb Volume Change Alerts

Every morning, WebRun opens LymphaTech, compares each patient's newest scan volume against their previous baseline, calculates the change for the affected limb, and posts the treating therapist a Slack alert whenever a limb volume rises past the threshold you set, so a worsening limb is seen the same day.

In short

How do I get alerted when a patient's limb volume increases?

WebRun opens LymphaTech each morning, compares every new scan against the patient's baseline volume, and calculates the change for the affected limb. Whenever a volume rises past the threshold you set, it posts the treating therapist a ranked Slack alert, so a worsening limb is caught the same day and the patient is never contacted automatically.

  • A worsening limb is flagged the same day the scan lands
  • Therapists see the biggest volume jumps first, ranked in Slack
  • Normal fluctuation stays out of the channel thanks to your threshold

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.lymphatech.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
LymphaTech - compare latest scan against baseline
    lymphatech.com
WebRun in LymphaTech: compare latest scan against baseline
WebRun compares each new LymphaTech scan against the patient's baseline volume.
    • Open LymphaTech and list patients with a new scan since the last run
    • For each, read the latest limb volume and compare it to the prior baseline scan
    • Calculate the percentage and absolute change for the affected limb
    • Flag any patient whose increase crosses the threshold you set, for example a five percent rise

Done when Every new scan has a volume change calculated and threshold crossings flagged.

  3. 2
Slack - alert the treating therapist
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: alert the treating therapist
WebRun posts the treating therapist a ranked alert of rising-volume patients.
    • Post an alert to the clinical Slack channel for each patient whose volume rose past the threshold
    • Include the patient, affected limb, the volume change, and the treating therapist @-mentioned
    • Rank the alerts so the largest increases appear first
    • Keep the alert internal to your team. WebRun never messages the patient.

Done when Therapists have today's ranked list of rising-volume patients in Slack.

Questions, answered

Does it contact the patient when a limb is worsening?

No. WebRun only posts an internal Slack alert to the treating therapist. No message goes to the patient, and the clinician decides how to follow up on a worsening limb.

How big a change triggers an alert?

You set the threshold, for example a five percent rise in limb volume over the prior scan. WebRun only flags patients who cross that line, so the channel is not filled with normal fluctuation.

What if a patient has only one scan so far?

Patients with no prior baseline are skipped, since there is nothing to compare against. Their first scan simply becomes the baseline for future comparisons.
