Automated Epic Games Purchase Tracking

Every Monday, WebRun signs in to your Epic Games account, reads the transaction history for the past week, writes each purchase, refund, and in-game charge into an Airtable ledger with date and amount, and files a copy of each receipt into a dated Google Drive folder.

In short

How do I keep a record of my Epic Games purchases and receipts?

WebRun signs in to your Epic Games account every Monday and reads the past week of transactions, separating purchases, in-app charges, and refunds. It logs each one into an Airtable ledger keyed by transaction reference, skips anything already recorded, and files the matching receipt into a dated Google Drive folder.

  • Every purchase and refund is logged the week it happens, with its receipt
  • Duplicate rows are impossible because each line is keyed to its reference
  • A monthly spend total is ready without opening the store again

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens store.epicgames.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Epic Games - read the transaction history
    epicgames.com
WebRun in Epic Games: read the transaction history
WebRun opens Epic Games to read the transaction history.
    • Sign in to your Epic Games account and open the transactions page
    • Capture every transaction from the last 7 days with its date, description, and amount
    • Separate purchases, in-app charges, and refunds
    • Note the payment method shown on each line
    • Record the transaction reference so each row can be matched later

Done when Every Epic Games transaction from the last 7 days is captured with its reference.

  3. 2
Airtable - log purchases and refunds
    airtable.com
WebRun in Airtable: log purchases and refunds
WebRun opens Airtable to log purchases and refunds.
    • Open your spend ledger base and look up each transaction reference
    • Skip anything already logged so no line is counted twice
    • Create a row for each new transaction with date, title, amount, type, and payment method
    • Mark refunds against the original purchase row where the reference matches
    • Update the running monthly total at the top of the view

Done when The Airtable ledger matches the Epic Games transaction list with no duplicates.

  4. 3
Google Drive - file the receipts
    drive.google.com
WebRun in Google Drive: file the receipts
WebRun opens Google Drive to file the receipts.
    • Open your receipts folder in Google Drive and create a folder for the current month
    • Save a copy of each receipt named by date and transaction reference
    • Add a short index file listing every receipt filed this week with its amount
    • Link each Airtable row to its filed receipt

Done when Every logged transaction has a receipt filed and linked in Drive.

Questions, answered

Can it buy games or request refunds?

No. WebRun is read-only on your Epic Games account. It never buys anything, never redeems a code, never requests a refund, and never touches your payment methods.

What stops a transaction being logged twice?

Each row is keyed to the transaction reference from Epic Games. WebRun looks the reference up in Airtable first and skips anything already there, so the weekly run is safe to repeat.

Why file receipts in Drive as well as logging them?

Because the ledger tells you the number and the receipt proves it. Each Airtable row links to its filed receipt, so a monthly reconciliation or an expense claim takes one click.

Put this on autopilot.
