Automated eGain Knowledge Article Review Reminders
Every Monday, WebRun opens eGain, checks knowledge-base articles against their scheduled review date, saves the list of articles due for review this week to Google Drive, and texts the content owner a reminder with the count and the oldest article's due date.
How do I keep my eGain knowledge base articles from going stale?
WebRun checks eGain every Monday for knowledge-base articles due for their scheduled review, saves the due list to Google Drive, and texts the content owner a reminder with the count and oldest due date. This keeps knowledge content from going stale without anyone needing to track review dates in a separate spreadsheet.
- Articles due for review get flagged every week instead of going stale unnoticed
- The content owner gets a direct text instead of checking a dashboard

Questions, answered
Does WebRun update or rewrite the articles?
No. It only identifies which articles are due for review and reminds the owner. Reviewing and editing the content is still done by your team.
How is an article's review date decided?
WebRun reads the scheduled review date already set on each article in eGain. It does not set or change review cadences itself.
Does the reminder go to anyone besides the content owner?
No. The text goes only to the content owner's own number. The full due list is also saved to Drive for the wider team to reference.
