Automated Desmos Activity Completion Tracking

Every Friday, WebRun opens Desmos, reads how far each class has got through the activities you assigned this week, lists the students who have not started or not finished, drafts a short reminder email in Gmail that stays unsent, and sends you a class by class completion summary on WhatsApp.

In short

How do I see which students have not finished their Desmos activity?

WebRun checks completion on your assigned Desmos activities every Friday, class by class, and lists the students who have not started or not finished. It drafts a short reminder email in Gmail for each of them, unsent and waiting for your approval, then sends you a class summary on WhatsApp naming where the class stalled.

  • Every class has a completion picture before the week ends
  • Reminder emails are written and waiting, never sent unreviewed
  • Activities where the whole class stalled get flagged for redesign

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens www.desmos.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
    Desmos - read activity completion
    desmos.com
WebRun in Desmos: read activity completion
WebRun opens Desmos to read activity completion.
    • Open Desmos and go to the activities you assigned to each class this week
    • For each class, capture how many students started, how many finished, and the average screens completed
    • List the students who have not started and those who stopped part way
    • Note which activities the whole class struggled to finish, since that says something about the task itself

Done when Every assigned activity has a completion figure per class and a list of students who are behind.

  3. 2
Gmail - draft reminders for approval
    gmail.com
WebRun in Gmail: draft reminders for approval
WebRun opens Gmail to draft reminders for approval.
    • Write one short, encouraging reminder email per student who has not finished, naming the activity and the due date
    • Address each draft to the student or guardian address already on your class list
    • Save every message as a Gmail draft and send nothing
    • Keep the drafts grouped by class so you can review a class at a time

Done when An unsent Gmail draft exists for every student behind on an activity.

  4. 3
WhatsApp - send the class summary
    whatsapp.com
WebRun in WhatsApp: send the class summary
WebRun opens WhatsApp to send the class summary.
    • Send yourself a class by class summary: activity, students finished, students behind
    • Name the activities where most of the class stalled at the same screen
    • Note how many reminder drafts are waiting in Gmail for each class
    • Keep the message short enough to read between lessons

Done when You have this week's completion summary on WhatsApp.

Questions, answered

Will it email students or guardians without me?

No. Every reminder is saved as an unsent Gmail draft addressed from your own account. You read, edit, and send each one, so no message reaches a student or guardian on its own.

Can it grade work or change an activity?

No. WebRun reads the teacher dashboard in Desmos only. It never grades a response, edits an activity, changes a due date, or pauses a class.

Where do student names appear?

Only in your own Gmail drafts and the summary sent to you. Nothing about a student is posted to a shared channel or stored anywhere outside the accounts you connect.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
