Automated CapCut Project Status Sync

Every morning, WebRun signs in to CapCut, reads the project list with each project's name, last edited date and duration, matches every project to its row in the Airtable content calendar, updates the status and last touched date there, adds rows for projects the calendar has never seen, and posts to Telegram a short list of edits that have not been touched in longer than your window.

In short

How do I keep my content calendar in sync with the videos actually being edited?

WebRun reads your CapCut project list every morning and matches each project to its row in the Airtable content calendar, updating status, duration, and last touched date. It then posts a Telegram list of drafts untouched beyond your window and calendar rows due this week with no edit started at all.

  • The calendar matches reality every morning without manual updates
  • Drafts going stale are named with their age in days
  • Deadlines with no edit started are caught the same week

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens www.capcut.com/login in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
CapCut - read the project list
    capcut.com

    • Note which projects have been exported and which are still drafts
    • Work out days since each project was last touched
    • Skip projects in a folder you have marked as archive

Done when Every project has a name, a last edited date, and a days-since figure.

  3. 2
Airtable - update the content calendar
    airtable.com
WebRun in Airtable: update the content calendar

    • Open your content calendar base in Airtable and match each CapCut project to its row by name
    • Update status, last touched date, and duration on every matched row
    • Create a new row for any project the calendar has never seen, marked as unplanned
    • Flag rows in the calendar with a publish date this week and no matching CapCut project at all
    • Leave publish dates and briefs alone. WebRun only writes status fields

Done when Every calendar row reflects the real state of its CapCut project.

  4. 3
Telegram - flag edits going stale
    telegram.org
WebRun in Telegram: flag edits going stale

    • Include any calendar row due this week with no edit started yet
    • Give the project, the days since it was last touched, and its publish date where the calendar has one
    • Post nothing when every draft is moving and every dated row has an edit

Done when The stale draft list is in Telegram, or everything is on track.

Questions, answered

Will it edit, export, or publish my videos?

No. WebRun reads the CapCut project list only. It never opens an editor, never exports, never publishes to a social account, and never deletes a project.

What does it write into Airtable?

Only status fields: current status, last touched date, and duration, plus a new row for a project the calendar has never seen. Publish dates, briefs and notes written by your team are never overwritten.

How stale is stale?

You set the window, five days by default. Anything untouched longer than that appears in the Telegram list, oldest first, along with any calendar row due this week that has no edit started.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
