Automated Brainscape Lapsed Streak Chasing
Every Monday, WebRun opens Brainscape, checks each student's flashcard review streak, logs anyone whose streak lapsed in the past week to a Trello board, and drafts a WhatsApp nudge for each one.
How do I chase students whose Brainscape study streak lapsed?
WebRun checks every student's Brainscape flashcard review streak each Monday and logs anyone whose streak lapsed in the past week to a Trello board. It drafts a WhatsApp nudge for each one, so a tutor can review and send it before a study habit is lost for good.
- Lapsed streaks get caught every Monday, not weeks later
- Tutors get a ready to send nudge for every student who stopped
- The board updates automatically once a student resumes

Questions, answered
Will it message students without approval?
No. WebRun only drafts the nudge in WhatsApp. The tutor reviews and sends it, nothing reaches a student automatically.
What counts as a lapsed streak?
A review streak that was active last week and has stopped this week, based on the student's actual Brainscape activity.
Does it update once a student resumes?
Yes. It checks activity fresh each run, so a card moves to Restarted once the student picks their deck back up.
