Will it download or install the update?
No. WebRun reads the downloads page and reports what is available. It never downloads an installer, never runs one, and never touches a workstation. Updating stays a deliberate human step.
Why not just let editors check themselves?
Because a mid-project update is the expensive mistake. WebRun checks daily, posts the version and the notes to Teams, and lets the team decide when the project is at a safe point to upgrade.
Does it post something every day?
No. The Teams notice and the Telegram ping only fire when a version is genuinely newer than what you have recorded as installed. Quiet days produce nothing.
