No. WebRun reads what is already in your library and reports the time left on each rental. It never rents a title, never buys anything, and never touches the payment method on the account.
How much warning do I get?
Two days by default, and you can set a longer window. Rentals nobody has started are listed first, because a half-watched film is a smaller loss than one that was never opened.
Does it work for a shared or family account?
Yes. It reads the rentals on the account you sign into and posts one reminder to Microsoft Teams, so whoever is likely to watch sees it rather than only the person who paid.
