Automated 7shifts Open Shift Coverage
Every Thursday, WebRun opens 7shifts, reads next week's published schedule, finds every shift with no one assigned or with an unaccepted trade, builds a coverage grid by day and role in Google Sheets, and sends each location manager the gaps they still have to fill on WhatsApp.
How do I find unfilled shifts before the week starts?
WebRun opens 7shifts every Thursday, reads next week's published schedule, and finds every shift with nobody assigned or with an unclaimed trade. It builds a day-by-role coverage grid in Google Sheets with suggested available staff, then sends each manager their own gaps on WhatsApp.
- Gaps are closed on Thursday instead of discovered on Monday
- Suggested cover keeps staff under their overtime threshold
- Managers see only their own location's shortfalls
Built for restaurant managers · hospitality operators · retail schedulers · multi-location teams

Questions, answered
Will it assign shifts to staff on its own?
No. WebRun reads the schedule and suggests who is available and under their hours. Assigning the shift and messaging the employee stays with the manager inside 7shifts.
How does it suggest cover?
It reads staff availability and hours already scheduled for the week, then suggests only people who are free for that shift and would stay under their overtime threshold.
Does each manager see other locations?
No. The WhatsApp message is split by location, so each manager gets only their own gaps while the full grid stays in the shared Google Sheet.
