Automated Wasabi Storage and Egress Alerts
Every morning, WebRun opens the Wasabi console, checks total storage and the past month's egress across every bucket against your included free egress allowance, posts a storage and egress digest to Slack, and sends an immediate Telegram alert if egress is trending close to the allowance so an overage never arrives as a surprise.
How do I avoid a surprise egress charge on my Wasabi bill?
Every morning, WebRun checks total storage and month to date egress across your Wasabi buckets against your included free egress allowance. It posts a daily digest to Slack and sends an immediate Telegram alert if egress is projected to exceed the allowance, so an overage never arrives as a surprise on the bill.
- Egress overage risk is flagged before the month ends, not after the invoice
- Every bucket's storage growth is visible in one daily digest
- The fastest growing bucket is named so you know where to look first

1
Wasabi - check storage and egress across buckets
WebRun opens Wasabi to check storage and egress across buckets. - Open the Wasabi console and list every bucket with its total storage size
- Read the month to date egress total across the account
- Compare month to date egress against your included free egress allowance
Done when Storage and egress figures are captured for every bucket and the whole account.
-
2
Slack - post the daily storage digest
WebRun opens Slack to post the daily storage digest. - Post a daily digest to Slack listing each bucket's storage size and the account's total egress so far this month
- Show egress as a percentage of the free allowance used
- Flag the fastest growing bucket since yesterday
Done when Slack has today's storage and egress digest.
-
3
Telegram - alert Telegram before egress goes over
WebRun opens Telegram to alert Telegram before egress goes over. - Send a Telegram alert if projected month end egress is on track to exceed the free allowance
- Name the buckets driving the most egress
- Stay quiet when egress is comfortably within the allowance
Done when A Telegram alert has gone out only if egress is projected to exceed the allowance.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Does it delete objects or move data to save cost?
No. WebRun only reads storage and egress figures and reports them. Deleting objects or changing a bucket's settings always stays your decision.
How is the egress projection calculated?
It reads month to date egress and projects it forward at the current daily rate to estimate whether the month will end within your free allowance.
Will it warn me before I actually go over?
Yes. The Telegram alert triggers when the projection is on track to exceed the allowance, before the month actually ends, so there is time to act.
