Automated Vercel Domain and SSL Checks

Every morning, WebRun opens Vercel, reads the domains attached to each project, checks their DNS configuration, verification state and certificate expiry, logs every problem in Airtable with the project and environment, and queues you a Twilio text when a customer-facing domain is at risk.

In short

How do I monitor my domains and SSL certificates for expiry?

WebRun opens Vercel every morning, reads the domains attached to each project, and checks their DNS configuration, verification state and certificate expiry. It logs every problem in Airtable with the project and environment, and queues a Twilio text when a production domain is at risk, so you see a warning rather than a customer error.

  • A certificate problem is a warning, not a customer error
  • Every project's domains are checked daily, including previews
  • Only production risks trigger a text

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens vercel.com/dashboard in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Vercel - check domains and certificates
    vercel.com
WebRun in Vercel: check domains and certificates
WebRun opens Vercel to check domains and certificates.
    • Open the Vercel dashboard and list the domains attached to each project
    • Check each domain's configuration status, its DNS records, and whether verification is complete
    • Read the certificate for each domain and note how many days until it expires

Done when Every domain across your projects has a configuration and certificate status.

  3. 2
Airtable - log every domain problem
    airtable.com
WebRun in Airtable: log every domain problem
WebRun opens Airtable to log every domain problem.
    • Add or update a row per problem domain with the project, the environment, the issue, and the certificate expiry date
    • Mark rows resolved once the domain reports as configured and verified
    • Sort so certificates expiring soonest and unverified production domains sit at the top

Done when Every domain problem has a current Airtable row with its project and environment.

  4. 3
Twilio - text you about urgent ones
    twilio.com
WebRun in Twilio: text you about urgent ones
WebRun opens Twilio to text you about urgent ones.
    • Write a short text only when a production domain is misconfigured or its certificate expires inside your warning window
    • Name the domain, the project, and the days remaining
    • Queue it against your own on-call numbers and leave it for you to approve

Done when An urgent text is queued, or the morning passed with nothing at risk.

Connect once, stays signed in

WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.

Your credentials stay in your own private environment - WebRun never stores your passwords.

Questions, answered

Will it change DNS records or renew a certificate?

No. WebRun reads domain and certificate status and reports it. Editing a DNS record or reassigning a domain stays a human action, because a wrong record takes a live site down.

Will it text me every morning?

No. The full list goes to Airtable daily. The text is queued only when a production domain is misconfigured or a certificate expires inside your warning window, and it waits for your approval.

Does it cover preview and staging domains too?

Yes. Every domain attached to your projects is checked, and each row records the environment, so a broken staging domain is visible without being treated as an emergency.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
