Automated Trezor Firmware and Backup Checklist

Once a month, WebRun opens Trezor Suite, checks whether a firmware update is available and whether your recovery backup was ever verified, updates a Trello checklist card for the device with both statuses, and sends a WhatsApp reminder only when a firmware update or an unverified backup has been sitting outstanding.

In short

How do I keep my Trezor firmware and backup verification up to date?

WebRun checks Trezor Suite once a month for a pending firmware update and whether your recovery backup has ever been verified, then updates a Trello checklist card with both statuses. It sends a WhatsApp reminder only when a firmware update has sat unapplied for over 14 days or the backup was never confirmed, without ever touching your seed phrase.

  • A firmware update never sits unapplied for months without you knowing
  • An unverified recovery backup gets flagged instead of assumed done
  • Seed phrases and keys are never read, stored, or touched by the automation

Questions, answered

Does WebRun install the firmware update or handle my recovery seed?

No. WebRun only reads whether an update is available and whether a backup was marked verified. Installing firmware and confirming a recovery backup are physical actions on the device that only you can do, and WebRun never sees your seed phrase.

Does it move or access any funds on the wallet?

No. This template never reads balances or transactions and never signs anything. It is scoped only to firmware version and backup-verification status.

What counts as overdue?

A firmware update sitting unapplied for more than 14 days, or a recovery backup that was never marked as verified. Either one triggers a WhatsApp reminder so it does not get forgotten.
