Automated Trello Client Status Reports

Every Monday, WebRun opens your Trello board, reads the cards that moved to done, the ones in flight, and the ones due next with their labels and checklists, writes a plain-language client update, posts the draft to Microsoft Teams, and pings you on Telegram to review it.

In short

How do I turn a Trello board into a weekly client status report?

Every Monday WebRun opens your Trello board, reads what moved to done, what is in flight, and what is due next, then writes it up in plain language for a client who never opens Trello. It posts the draft to Microsoft Teams and pings you on Telegram to send it.

  • Clients get a readable update every Monday without you writing it
  • Blocked work waiting on the client is called out by name
  • Internal cards stay internal, filtered out by label

Built for account managers · agencies · project managers · freelance consultants

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens trello.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Trello - read the week's board activity
    trello.com
WebRun in Trello: read the week's board activity

    • Open the client's Trello board and read every list
    • Capture the cards that moved to done in the past week, the cards in flight, and the cards with due dates in the next two weeks
    • Read labels and checklist progress so partial work is described honestly, and skip cards labelled internal

Done when Every card in scope is captured with its status, due date, and progress.

  3. 2
Microsoft Teams - post the drafted client update
    microsoft.com
WebRun in Microsoft Teams: post the drafted client update
WebRun opens Microsoft Teams to post the drafted client update.
    • Write the update in plain language, with no card IDs, labels, or Trello jargon
    • Structure it as shipped this week, in progress, due next, and anything blocked and waiting on the client
    • Post it to your account channel as a draft. WebRun never sends it to the client

Done when A client-ready update is drafted in the account channel.

  4. 3
Telegram - ping you to review and send
    telegram.org
WebRun in Telegram: ping you to review and send
WebRun opens Telegram to ping you to review and send.
    • Message you that the draft is ready with a one-line summary of the week
    • Call out anything blocked on the client so you can decide how to word it
    • Note any card that has not moved for two weeks in case it needs explaining

Done when You know the update is drafted and what needs your judgement before sending.

Questions, answered

Will it send the update to my client?

No. The update is posted as a draft in your own Microsoft Teams channel and you send it. WebRun never emails, messages, or shares anything with the client.

Can I keep internal cards out of the report?

Yes. Any card carrying your internal label is skipped, so scoping arguments, budget notes, and staffing cards never reach the client draft.

Does it move or edit cards in Trello?

No. WebRun reads the board only. It never moves a card, ticks a checklist, changes a due date, or archives anything.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
