Automated Telegram Shared File Index
Every night, WebRun opens Telegram, goes through the group chats you nominate, lists every photo and document shared that day with its sender and timestamp, files the index onto a dated Trello card per chat, and sends you a short WhatsApp summary of what arrived.
How do I find files that were shared in a Telegram group chat?
Every night WebRun opens Telegram, goes through the group chats you nominate, and lists every photo and document shared that day with the sender, the time, and the chat. It files the index onto a dated Trello card per chat and sends a WhatsApp summary, so nothing is lost to scrollback.
- A document shared last week is found without scrolling the chat
- Every file is traceable to a sender, a time, and a chat
- Contracts and invoices shared in chat are called out the same night
Built for small teams · project managers · contractors · community organisers
What does WebRun do on every run?
The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.
-
WebRun signs in and gets to work
Opens
web.telegram.orgin a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys. -
1
Telegram - collect the day's shared files
WebRun opens Telegram to collect the day's shared files. - Open Telegram web and go through only the chats and groups on your list
- Find the photos and documents shared since the last run
- Capture the file name, the type, the sender, the timestamp, and the chat
- Note the caption or the message it was shared with, where there is one
- Read attachments only. WebRun does not archive the conversation text
Done when Every file shared today in the nominated chats is captured with its sender.
-
2
Trello - index them by chat and date
WebRun opens Trello to index them by chat and date. - Create or update a dated card per chat on the file index board
- List each file with its name, type, sender, and time on the card
- Add the link back to the message so the original is one click away
- Label the card with the chat name so a search by project still finds it
- Record details and links only, never re-upload the file itself
Done when Today's files are indexed on Trello, grouped by chat and date.
-
3
WhatsApp - summarise what arrived
WebRun opens WhatsApp to summarise what arrived. - Send a short summary of how many files arrived and in which chats
- Name the senders and any file that looks like a contract or an invoice
- Link the Trello card so the full index is one tap away
- Send nothing on a day when no files were shared
Done when You have tonight's file summary on WhatsApp.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Does it read all my Telegram chats?
No. It opens only the chats and groups you nominate, and it looks at shared attachments rather than archiving the conversation text.
Does it copy the files somewhere else?
No. File uploads are blocked by the run policy, so WebRun records the file name, sender, time, and a link back to the message. The file itself stays in Telegram.
Will it post or reply in a chat?
No. WebRun never sends a message in Telegram. The only thing it writes is the Trello index and the internal WhatsApp summary to you.
Put this on autopilot.
