Automated SproutVideo Release Scheduling

Every morning, WebRun opens SproutVideo, checks videos scheduled to go live and any privacy or release date changes, syncs each one to a Google Calendar event, and posts a heads-up to Microsoft Teams so the team always knows what's publishing and when.

In short

How do I keep my team's calendar in sync with SproutVideo's release schedule?

WebRun checks SproutVideo every morning for videos scheduled to go live, reading each one's release date and destination playlist. It syncs a matching event to Google Calendar for every scheduled release and posts a heads-up to Microsoft Teams, so the whole team knows what's publishing and when without opening SproutVideo directly.

  • The team calendar always matches SproutVideo's real release schedule
  • Date changes get caught and flagged the same morning
  • Everyone knows what's publishing this week without checking SproutVideo

Questions, answered

Does it change a video's privacy or publish setting?

No. WebRun only reads the release schedule that's already set in SproutVideo and mirrors it to the calendar. It never changes a video's privacy or publish date itself.

What happens if a release date changes?

The calendar event updates to match, and the change is called out in the next Microsoft Teams heads-up so nobody works off a stale date.

Does it work for videos with no scheduled date yet?

No, those are skipped from the calendar sync until a release date is set in SproutVideo. Only scheduled releases get an event.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
