Automated ShareFile Client Upload Alerts
Every hour, WebRun opens ShareFile, checks Request Folders for new client uploads, copies each file into a matching Google Drive archive as a backup, and texts the staff member assigned to that client through Twilio.
How do I get notified when a client uploads a file to ShareFile?
WebRun checks ShareFile every hour for new files clients upload to a Request Folder, copies each one into a matching Google Drive archive as a backup, and texts the staff member assigned to that client through Twilio. The client is never contacted. Only the internal owner is notified that a file is ready to review.
- Staff learn about a new client file within the hour
- Every upload gets a backup copy automatically
- Clients are never contacted directly by the automation

Questions, answered
Does it text the client?
No. The text only goes to the staff member assigned to that client. Clients are never contacted directly by this automation.
Does it remove the file from ShareFile after copying it?
No. ShareFile stays the source of record. Google Drive only gets a backup copy alongside it.
What if the same file gets uploaded twice?
It skips anything already archived from a previous run, so a re-upload will not create duplicate copies or duplicate texts.
