Automated Screencastify Submission Chasing

Every morning, WebRun opens Screencastify, checks each video assignment against its due date, works out which students have not submitted a recording yet, writes the missing list plus a drafted reminder per student into Google Sheets, and posts the day's chase list to Microsoft Teams.

In short

How do I chase students who have not submitted their video assignment?

WebRun checks your Screencastify video assignments every morning, compares submitted recordings against the roster, and finds the students with nothing handed in. It logs each one in Google Sheets with the due date, days left, and a drafted reminder, then posts the day's chase list to Microsoft Teams.

  • Missing submissions surface while students can still hand in
  • Every open assignment has a named list of who is outstanding
  • Reminders arrive drafted, so chasing takes minutes not an evening

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it message students on its own?

No. WebRun drafts a reminder per student into the Google Sheet and leaves it unsent. You read it, edit it, and send it yourself. The only thing it posts is an internal Teams list for staff.

How does it know who has not submitted?

It reads the live submissions on each Screencastify assignment every morning and compares them against your roster, so a student who handed in overnight drops off the list on the next run.

Does it chase assignments that already closed?

No. It works on assignments with a due date still ahead, and reports the days left on each, so the chase happens while students can still hand in.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
