Automated Qlik Reload Failure Alerts
Every morning before standup, WebRun signs in to Qlik, reviews the overnight reload tasks, finds every app that failed to refresh or is showing stale data, posts the list to your Microsoft Teams analytics channel, and messages the owner of any business-critical app on WhatsApp.
How do I know when a Qlik dashboard failed to refresh overnight?
WebRun checks your Qlik reload tasks every morning before standup. It finds apps that failed to refresh overnight or are showing data older than their refresh window, posts the list with error text to your Microsoft Teams analytics channel, and messages critical app owners on WhatsApp.
- Broken dashboards are known before the first meeting of the day
- Silently stale apps are caught, not just hard failures
- App owners hear about their own failures instead of a shared channel nobody reads

What does WebRun do on every run?
The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.
-
WebRun signs in and gets to work
Opens
qlik.comin a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys. -
1
Qlik - check overnight reload results
WebRun opens Qlik to check overnight reload results. - Sign in to Qlik and open the task or reload overview
- Check the result of every scheduled reload from the last 24 hours
- Capture the app name, the task, the finish status, and the error text for anything that failed
- Also flag apps whose last successful reload is older than their expected refresh window
Done when Every failed or stale reload is listed with its app, task, and error.
-
2
Microsoft Teams - post the failure list
WebRun opens Microsoft Teams to post the failure list. - Post the morning status to your analytics channel in Microsoft Teams
- Lead with the count of failed reloads and the count of stale apps
- List each failure with its app name, error text, and last successful reload time
- Mark apps used in today's reporting so the room knows which numbers are not current
Done when The analytics channel has the overnight reload status before standup.
-
3
WhatsApp - escalate the critical apps
WebRun opens WhatsApp to escalate the critical apps. - Message the owner of any business-critical app that failed, in your internal WhatsApp thread
- Include the app name, the error, and how long the data has been stale
- Keep it to the critical set so the escalation channel stays meaningful
Done when Every critical app owner has been told their reload failed.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it re-run the failed reload itself?
No. WebRun reads the task status and reports it. Restarting a reload, editing a task, or changing a data connection is always left to an engineer.
How does it spot data that is stale but not failing?
It compares each app's last successful reload against the refresh window you expect, so an app whose task silently stopped scheduling is flagged alongside outright failures.
Does it message anyone outside the team?
No. The Teams post goes to your internal analytics channel and the WhatsApp message goes to your own app owners. Nothing reaches a customer or an external stakeholder.
Put this on autopilot.
Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
