Automated Podbean Episode Release Checks

Every Thursday, WebRun signs in to Podbean, opens the episode scheduled for release, and checks it against your release checklist: title, description and show notes, artwork, tags, season and episode number, and the publish date and time. It records the episode in Airtable and drafts the listener announcement email in Gmail, leaving both the episode and the email for you to approve.

In short

How do I check a podcast episode is complete before it publishes?

WebRun opens Podbean every Thursday and checks the episode queued for release against your checklist, covering show notes, artwork, tags, episode number, and publish time. It logs the episode in Airtable and drafts the listener announcement in Gmail, leaving both the publish and the send to you.

  • Missing show notes and artwork are caught the day before release
  • The announcement email is written before the episode goes live
  • Every episode has a dated record showing what was missed

Questions, answered

Will it publish the episode or email my listeners?

No. WebRun never publishes, reschedules, or edits an episode, and never sends the announcement. The episode stays queued as you left it and the email waits unsent in Gmail Drafts.

What does it actually check?

Your release checklist: title, description and show notes, artwork, tags, episode and season number, and the publish date and time. Add or remove items and the Thursday run follows your list.

What if no episode is queued for the next slot?

It says so plainly. An empty release slot is reported as the headline finding, which is usually the most useful warning of the week.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
