Questions, answered
Will it delete or move any files?
No. WebRun reads folder listings and upload times only. Deleting, moving, restoring, and uploading are all blocked, so a verification run can never damage the backup it is checking.
Does it open my files to check them?
No. It checks that a file arrived, when, and how large it was. File contents are never opened or read, so the check works on confidential backups too.
What counts as a failed backup?
Two things: nothing arrived inside the window you expect, or the night's upload is far smaller than the folder's normal. Both are reported by folder name with the last known good time.
