How do I know when a company card is about to hit its limit?
WebRun opens Payhawk each morning and compares the spend on every company card against the limit it was given. It projects where each card will land by period end, posts the ones nearing or past their ceiling to your finance Slack, and messages the team manager on WhatsApp.
- Limits get raised on purpose instead of a card being declined at a supplier
- Every card carries a projected end of period position
- WebRun reports only: raising a limit stays an approver decision

-
2
Slack - post the cards at risk

- List cards over 80 percent of their limit and any already past it
- Give the cardholder, the team, the amount left, and the projected overshoot
- Leave cards with comfortable headroom out so the post stays short
Done when Finance can see which cards will hit their limit before month end.
-
3
WhatsApp - message the team manager
WebRun opens WhatsApp to message the team manager. - Message the relevant team manager on WhatsApp when one of their cards is close to its ceiling
- Name the cardholder, the headroom left, and the projected date the limit is reached
- Message internal managers only. WebRun never contacts a supplier or a bank
- Leave the limit change itself to the finance approver inside Payhawk
Done when The manager knows before a card is declined at a supplier.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it raise a card limit on its own?
No. WebRun reports which cards are close to their ceiling. Raising a limit, freezing a card, or moving budget stays an approver action inside Payhawk.
Who receives the WhatsApp message?
Only the internal team manager whose number you configure. WebRun never messages a supplier, a bank, or the cardholder's personal contacts.
How is the projection worked out?
It takes the spend posted so far this cycle, divides by the days elapsed, and extends that rate to the end of the period, so a card spending fast flags early.
Put this on autopilot.
