Questions, answered
Will it send the welcome email to the new member automatically?
No. The welcome email is saved as a Gmail draft so a staff member can review the wording and add a personal touch before sending. WebRun never sends member-facing emails without human approval.
What if the new member already has a Mailchimp contact from a previous visit?
WebRun adds the onboarding tag to the existing Mailchimp contact rather than creating a duplicate. If the member was previously unsubscribed, WebRun flags that in the Slack notification so the team can follow up directly.
Does it handle family memberships with multiple card holders?
Yes. WebRun reads the family member names from the Altru membership record and includes them in the welcome email draft. Each family member is also added to the Mailchimp audience under the primary contact.
