Automated ProConnect E-File Rejection Alerts
Every morning, WebRun opens Intuit ProConnect, reads the e-file status on every transmitted return, pulls out the ones that came back rejected with their reason and tax year, texts you the count through Twilio, and posts the full rejection list to Microsoft Teams for the preparer who owns each client.
How do I catch e-file rejections the morning they come back?
WebRun opens Intuit ProConnect every morning, reads the e-file status on your transmitted returns, and pulls out the ones that came back rejected with their reason, tax year, and owning preparer. It texts you the count through Twilio and posts the queue to Microsoft Teams, sorted by nearest filing deadline.
- Rejections are known the morning the acknowledgement lands
- Each rejection carries its reason and owner, so the fix starts immediately
- Unresolved rejections keep reappearing until the return is accepted
Built for tax preparers · accounting practices · CPA firms · practice managers

Secure by default

WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it fix or resubmit a return?
No. WebRun reads e-file status only. It never edits a return, retransmits, or files anything. Correcting the error and resubmitting stays entirely with the preparer.
Does it contact clients about the rejection?
No. The text goes to your own saved preparer numbers and the queue goes to your internal Teams channel. Telling a client is your call and your message.
What happens to a rejection nobody has fixed yet?
It stays on the queue. WebRun repeats unresolved rejections on every run, sorted by nearest deadline, until the status in ProConnect shows the return accepted.
