In short

How do I chase missing timesheets without nagging the team?

WebRun checks Float every morning and compares each person's scheduled hours against the time they actually logged for the previous working day. It records every shortfall in Airtable with the project and hours missing, skips anyone on approved leave, and posts a short chase list to Telegram with the biggest gaps first.

  • Missing time is chased the next morning, not at month end
  • People on approved leave are never chased by mistake
  • Week to date completion is visible to the whole team

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.float.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Float - compare scheduled against logged time
    float.com
WebRun in Float: compare scheduled against logged time
WebRun opens Float to compare scheduled against logged time.
    • Sign into Float and open the time tracking view for the previous working day
    • For every person with scheduled work, read the hours logged against the hours scheduled
    • Capture the person, the project, the scheduled hours, and the shortfall for anyone under your tolerance
    • Skip people on approved time off so nobody is chased for a day they were not working

Done when Every scheduled person has a logged-against-scheduled comparison, with time off excluded.

  3. 2
    Airtable - record the gaps
    airtable.com
WebRun in Airtable: record the gaps
WebRun opens Airtable to record the gaps.
    • Open the timesheet tracker base in Airtable
    • Add a row per person per day showing scheduled hours, logged hours, and the shortfall
    • Update the running week to date total for each person
    • Close rows where the time has since been entered so only real gaps remain

Done when Airtable holds one row per gap with a current week to date total, and filled gaps are closed.

  4. 3
Telegram - post the chase list
    telegram.org
WebRun in Telegram: post the chase list
WebRun opens Telegram to post the chase list.
    • Post the chase list to your delivery channel
    • Show each person with their missing hours and the project the time belongs to, biggest gap first
    • Add the team's week to date logged percentage in one line
    • Stay quiet on days when everyone is up to date

Done when The delivery channel has today's chase list, or nothing was posted because there were no gaps.

Questions, answered

Will it enter time on someone's behalf?

No. WebRun only reads scheduled and logged hours in Float. It never logs time, never edits an entry, and never changes a booking. Filling the gap stays with the person who did the work.

Will it chase people who were on leave?

No. Anyone with approved time off in Float for that day is excluded before the list is built, so the chase only names people who were actually scheduled to work.

Does it message individuals directly?

No. The chase list is posted once to your internal Telegram channel. WebRun never emails or texts a team member, so a manager decides who to follow up with.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
