Automated Exotel New Line Setup Checklist

When a new Exotel number or IVR line is requested, WebRun opens the Exotel console to confirm what has been provisioned so far, books a Google Calendar task for whatever configuration is still outstanding, and notifies IT in Microsoft Teams so the request does not stall.

In short

How do I track setup steps for a new Exotel line?

WebRun checks the Exotel console whenever a new number or IVR line is requested, works out what setup is still outstanding, books a Google Calendar task covering it, and notifies IT in Microsoft Teams, so new line requests get a tracked checklist instead of relying on someone remembering the steps.

  • Every new line request gets a tracked setup checklist
  • IT is notified the same day a request comes in
  • Nothing outstanding gets forgotten between requests

Questions, answered

Does WebRun configure the Exotel line itself?

No. It reads the current setup status and tracks what is outstanding. Configuration is still done by your IT team, WebRun just makes sure nothing is forgotten.

What if the line is already fully configured?

Then there is nothing outstanding to track, no calendar task is created, and IT is not notified for that request.

How is the request tracked over time?

Through the calendar task, which stays open until the outstanding setup steps are checked again on a later run and found complete.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
