Automated ESET Licence Renewal Reminders

Every Monday, WebRun signs in to ESET Home, reads every subscription with its expiry date and seat count, works out which licences run out in the next 60 days and which devices are using more seats than you bought, sends you a short WhatsApp reminder ordered by urgency, and leaves a renewal request drafted in Gmail for whoever approves the spend.

In short

How do I get reminded before my antivirus licences expire?

WebRun signs in to ESET Home every Monday, reads each subscription's expiry date and seat usage, and flags anything running out in the next 60 days. It sends you a WhatsApp reminder ordered by urgency and leaves a renewal request drafted in Gmail, so a licence never lapses and no purchase happens without approval.

  • Sixty days of warning before any licence lapses
  • Seats owned are checked against seats actually in use
  • Renewal requests wait as drafts so nobody buys unapproved

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens home.eset.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
ESET - read subscriptions and seats
    eset.com
WebRun in ESET: read subscriptions and seats
WebRun opens ESET to read subscriptions and seats.
    • Sign in to ESET Home and open the subscriptions view
    • Capture every subscription with its product, expiry date, seat count, and seats currently used
    • Work out the days remaining on each and mark anything expiring within 60 days
    • Note any subscription already expired and any device that is not covered by a live seat

Done when Every subscription has an expiry date, a seat count, and a days-remaining figure.

  3. 2
WhatsApp - remind you what expires
    whatsapp.com
WebRun in WhatsApp: remind you what expires
WebRun opens WhatsApp to remind you what expires.
    • Send a short WhatsApp message listing what expires in the next 60 days, soonest first
    • Show product, expiry date, days left, and seats used against seats owned for each
    • Put anything already expired or any uncovered device at the very top
    • Send nothing on weeks where the nearest expiry is more than 60 days out

Done when You have this week's expiry list on WhatsApp, or there was nothing to report.

  4. 3
Gmail - draft the renewal request
    gmail.com
WebRun in Gmail: draft the renewal request
WebRun opens Gmail to draft the renewal request.
    • Draft a short renewal request in Gmail addressed to whoever approves security spend
    • List the subscriptions due, their dates, and the seat count you actually need based on devices in use
    • Leave the message in Drafts for review. WebRun never sends it and never buys or renews anything

Done when A renewal request is waiting in Gmail drafts, unsent.

Questions, answered

Will it renew or buy a licence itself?

No. WebRun never renews, never enters payment details, and never changes a subscription. It reports what is expiring and leaves an unsent Gmail draft so a human approves the spend.

How far ahead does it warn me?

Sixty days by default, and you can change the window. Anything already expired or any device without a live seat is pushed to the top of the message.

Does it touch device protection settings?

No. WebRun reads the subscription and device list only. Protection settings, scans and policies in ESET are never modified.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
