Automated Dropbox Paper Action Items
Every morning, WebRun opens Dropbox Paper, reads the docs edited yesterday, pulls out the unticked to-dos and the people assigned to them, creates a Trello card for each one, and posts a short recap to Microsoft Teams so nothing agreed in a meeting is lost.
How do I turn meeting notes into assigned tasks automatically?
WebRun opens Dropbox Paper every morning and reads the docs edited yesterday in the folders you nominate. It pulls out every unticked to-do with the person named against it, creates an assigned Trello card carrying the source doc, and posts a recap grouped by owner to Microsoft Teams.
- Actions agreed in a meeting reach the board by the next morning
- Every task carries the doc it came from
- Unowned actions are surfaced instead of quietly disappearing

Dropbox Paper - read yesterday's edited docs

-
3
Microsoft Teams - post the action recap
WebRun opens Microsoft Teams to post the action recap. - Post the action recap to your team channel in Microsoft Teams
- Group the new cards by owner so each person sees only their own lines
- Name the docs the actions came from and how many were already carded
- Never edit or tick anything inside the Paper doc. The doc stays as its author left it
Done when The team has this morning's action recap grouped by owner in Teams.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Does it edit my Paper docs?
No. WebRun reads the docs and leaves them untouched. It never ticks a to-do, adds a comment, renames a doc, or changes sharing, so the author's version is exactly what everyone else sees.
Which docs does it read?
Only the folders you nominate. Personal docs and anything outside those folders are never opened, which keeps draft thinking and private notes out of the recap.
What if a to-do has no owner?
The card is still created and left unassigned, then listed in the Teams recap under Needs an owner. An action with nobody's name on it is the one most likely to be dropped, so it is surfaced rather than skipped.
