Automated DocSend Data Room Version Checks
Every Monday, WebRun opens DocSend, walks each space you share with investors or buyers, lists every document with its upload date and version, compares that against the version you have marked current, posts the out of date documents to Slack, and texts the deal owner through Twilio when a live space still shows an old deck.
How do I check my DocSend data room has the latest documents?
WebRun checks your DocSend data rooms every Monday. It walks each shared space, records every document with its upload date, and compares it against the version you treat as current. It posts stale documents to Slack and texts the deal owner through Twilio when a live space shows old numbers.
- Old decks in live spaces surface before an investor reads them
- Every space is checked weekly, not remembered by hand
- Actively viewed spaces are flagged first, with a text to the deal owner
Built for founders raising capital · corporate development teams · investment bankers · sales teams sharing collateral

1
DocSend - compare document versions per space
WebRun opens DocSend to compare document versions per space. - Open DocSend and list each space that is currently shared
- Record every document in the space with its upload date and version
- Compare each one against the file you have marked as current
- Note which links into the space are still live and being viewed
- Read only. WebRun never uploads a new version, replaces a file, or disables a link
Done when Every document in every live space is marked current or out of date.
-
2
Slack - post the stale documents
WebRun opens Slack to post the stale documents. - Post the out of date documents grouped by space
- Give the document name, the version in the space and the version you now treat as current
- Put spaces that are actively being viewed at the top
- Say plainly that replacing the file is a human action in DocSend
Done when The team channel lists every space still showing an old document.
-
3
Twilio - text the deal owner
WebRun opens Twilio to text the deal owner. - Text the deal owner's own number when a live, actively viewed space holds an old deck
- Keep the message to the space name and the document that is out of date
- Send to your internal numbers only. No investor or buyer is ever contacted by this run
Done when The deal owner has been texted about any live space showing old numbers.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it replace the old file itself?
No. WebRun never uploads a version, swaps a document, or disables a link. It reports which space holds which version, and updating the data room stays a deliberate human action.
Will it text or email investors?
No. The Twilio message goes to your own internal numbers only. No investor, buyer, or viewer is contacted, and any note to them would be drafted for a human to send.
How does it know which version is current?
From the file you mark as current, by name and date. WebRun compares each document in the space against that and reports anything older, so the judgement is always yours.
