Automated Chase Transaction Logging
Every morning, WebRun signs in to Chase, reads yesterday's posted transactions across the accounts you choose, writes each one into your Airtable ledger with the date, merchant, amount, and a suggested category, then posts to Microsoft Teams any charge above your threshold or from a merchant it has never seen.
How do I review and categorise bank transactions every day?
WebRun logs your Chase activity every morning. It reads yesterday's posted transactions on the accounts you choose, writes each into an Airtable ledger with a suggested category, and posts a Microsoft Teams list of charges above your threshold or from unfamiliar merchants, so nothing unusual sits unnoticed.
- Yesterday's activity is coded before the day starts
- Large or unfamiliar charges are seen within 24 hours
- Month-end close starts from a ledger that is already current
Built for bookkeepers · small business owners · finance teams · office managers

Chase - read yesterday's transactions

- Capture the date, merchant description, amount, and account for each
- Ignore pending items and pick them up once they post
Done when Every transaction posted yesterday is captured with its account and amount.
-
2
Airtable - code them into the ledger
WebRun opens Airtable to code them into the ledger. - Open your transaction ledger base in Airtable
- Add one row per transaction with date, merchant, amount, and account
- Suggest a category from how the same merchant was coded before
- Leave the category field marked unconfirmed so a human signs it off
- Skip any transaction already present so a rerun cannot duplicate rows
Done when Yesterday's transactions are all in the ledger with a suggested category.
-
3
Microsoft Teams - raise what needs a look
WebRun opens Microsoft Teams to raise what needs a look. - Post a short review list to your finance channel
- Include every charge above the amount threshold you set
- Include every merchant that has never appeared in the ledger before
- Say the total posted yesterday per account so the day reconciles at a glance
Done when Finance has today's review list and yesterday's totals in Teams.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Can it move money or pay a bill?
No. WebRun reads your Chase activity and records it. It never initiates a transfer, never pays a bill, never opens a dispute, and never changes an account setting. Every money movement stays with you.
Who decides the final category?
You do. WebRun suggests a category from how the same merchant was coded before and marks the row unconfirmed, so a bookkeeper confirms or corrects it in Airtable before the books close.
What happens if the run repeats on the same day?
Nothing doubles up. WebRun checks the ledger for the same date, merchant, and amount first and skips any transaction that is already recorded.
Put this on autopilot.
