Automated Boomi Deployment Change Logs

Every Monday, WebRun opens Boomi, reads the last week of deployments across your environments, records which package version landed where and who deployed it, writes a dated change log page in Notion, and sends you a WhatsApp summary of what moved.

In short

How do I keep a record of what changed in my Boomi integrations?

WebRun audits your Boomi deployments every Monday. It reads the last week of package deployments, records the version, environment, runtime, and author of each, files a dated change log page in Notion, and sends the team a WhatsApp summary, so every integration change has a written record.

  • Every deployment has a written record with version, environment, and author
  • Version drift between test and production is visible weekly
  • Incident review starts from a change log instead of guesswork

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens platform.boomi.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Boomi - read the week's deployments
    boomi.com
WebRun in Boomi: read the week's deployments
WebRun opens Boomi to read the week's deployments.
    • Open Boomi and list the packages deployed in the last seven days
    • Record the process name, the package version, and the target environment for each
    • Read the audit log for who deployed it and when
    • Note the version each environment is now running, so test and production drift is visible
    • Check which runtime each deployment landed on
    • Never deploy, undeploy, or change a configuration. WebRun reads and records only

Done when Every deployment from the last week is recorded with version, environment, runtime, and author.

  3. 2
Notion - file the dated change log
    notion.so
WebRun in Notion: file the dated change log
WebRun opens Notion to file the dated change log.
    • Create a dated change log page in your integrations database
    • Add a table row per deployment: process, version, environment, runtime, author, timestamp
    • Add a short section listing any environment now running a different version than production
    • Link the new page to last week's so the history reads in order

Done when A dated change log page exists in Notion with every deployment listed.

  4. 3
    WhatsApp - summarize what moved
    whatsapp.com
WebRun in WhatsApp: summarize what moved
WebRun opens WhatsApp to summarize what moved.
    • Send the integration team a short WhatsApp summary of the week's changes
    • Lead with the count of deployments and the environments touched
    • Call out any version mismatch between environments first
    • Link to the Notion page for the full table

Done when The team knows what moved last week without opening Boomi.

Questions, answered

Can it deploy or roll back a process?

No. WebRun only reads the deployment history and audit log in Boomi. It never deploys, undeploys, or edits a configuration, so nothing changes in your environments because of this run.

Why does a weekly change log help?

When an integration breaks on Wednesday, the log shows exactly which package version landed on Monday, in which environment, and who deployed it. Root cause starts from a written record instead of memory.

Does it catch environment drift?

Yes. It records the version each environment is running and calls out any environment sitting on a different version than production, which is the usual cause of a process that works in test and fails live.
