Automated Australia Post Charge Reconciliation

Every Monday, WebRun opens your Australia Post business account, reads last week's postage charges and the shipments behind them, matches each charge to a tracking number and parcel weight in Notion, and posts your team a short Teams list of the charges that do not line up.

In short

How do I check Australia Post postage charges against the parcels I sent?

WebRun reconciles your Australia Post postage every Monday. It reads last week's charges and the shipments behind them, matches each charge to a tracking number and parcel weight in a Notion ledger, then posts a Teams list of anything unmatched, so overcharges get queried while the paperwork is fresh.

  • Every postage charge is matched to a real shipment each week
  • Overcharges and mis-weighed parcels surface within days, not months
  • Finance opens Teams to a ready query list instead of a spreadsheet job

Built for ecommerce sellers · warehouse and dispatch teams · small business finance · logistics coordinators

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens auspost.com.au in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1

    • Mark anything unmatched as a query: a charge with no shipment, a shipment with no charge, or a billed weight above the declared parcel weight

Done when Every charge is either reconciled to a shipment or marked as a query with a reason.

  4. 3

    • Post the week's reconciliation summary to your finance channel: total charged, total matched, and the number of queries
    • List each query with the tracking number, the amount, and the reason it did not match
    • Leave the message for the person who pays the shipping bill to raise with Australia Post. WebRun never lodges a claim or disputes a charge itself

Done when Your finance channel has this week's matched total and the query list.

Questions, answered

Will it dispute charges with Australia Post for me?

No. WebRun lists the charges that do not match a shipment and leaves them for you to raise. It never lodges a claim, submits a dispute, or contacts Australia Post on your account.

What counts as a mismatch?

Three things: a charge with no matching tracking number, a shipment that was never billed, and a charge where the billed weight sits above the parcel weight you declared.

Does it need my invoice as a file?

No. WebRun reads the charges straight from your Australia Post account in the browser, the same screens you would open yourself, so there is nothing to download or upload.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
