Automated App Store Review Reply Drafts

Every morning, WebRun opens App Store Connect, reads the reviews left since yesterday across your territories, drafts a developer response for each one and leaves it unposted for you to approve, opens a Trello card for any bug or missing feature a reviewer names, and sends the low star reviews to WhatsApp.

In short

How do I reply to new App Store reviews quickly?

WebRun reads your new App Store Connect reviews every morning across all territories and drafts a developer response for each one, leaving it unpublished for you to approve. It opens a Trello card for every bug a reviewer names and sends the low star reviews to WhatsApp with version and country.

  • Low star reviews get a human answer while the reviewer is still watching
  • Every bug a reviewer reports becomes a tracked card with the version attached
  • Replies are written for you and never publish without approval

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens appstoreconnect.apple.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
App Store Connect - read new reviews and draft replies
    appstoreconnect.apple.com
WebRun in App Store Connect: read new reviews and draft replies
WebRun opens App Store Connect to read new reviews and draft replies.
    • Open App Store Connect and go to Ratings and Reviews for each app you manage
    • Read every review left since the last run, across all territories, and note the star rating, app version and country
    • Write a developer response for each one in your support voice, answering the specific complaint rather than a generic thank you
    • Save each response as a draft and leave it unpublished for a human to approve

Done when Every new review has a drafted developer response waiting for approval, none published.

  3. 2
Trello - log the bugs reviewers name
    trello.com
WebRun in Trello: log the bugs reviewers name
WebRun opens Trello to log the bugs reviewers name.
    • Create a Trello card for each bug, crash or missing feature a reviewer describes
    • Quote the review text, the app version and the territory on the card
    • Add a vote to an existing card when a second reviewer reports the same thing rather than duplicating it
    • Put cards from one star and two star reviews at the top of the list

Done when Every issue named in a review exists as a card with the version and quote attached.

  4. 3
WhatsApp - flag the low star ones
    whatsapp.com
WebRun in WhatsApp: flag the low star ones
WebRun opens WhatsApp to flag the low star ones.
    • Send the team group a WhatsApp message with the low star reviews from overnight
    • Include the rating, the country, the app version and the first line of the review
    • Say how many replies are waiting for approval so nothing sits drafted for a week

Done when The team has this morning's low star reviews and the count of drafts awaiting approval.

Questions, answered

Will it publish a reply to the App Store on its own?

No. Every developer response is saved as a draft and left unpublished. A person reads it and publishes it in App Store Connect, so nothing public goes out unapproved.

Does it touch my builds or releases?

No. This template only reads Ratings and Reviews. It never submits a build, changes a release phase or edits your app listing.

What happens with reviews in other languages?

It reads reviews from every territory you sell in, notes the country, and drafts the response in the reviewer's language for you to check before publishing.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
