How to Automate GlossGenius
Reception answers a GlossGenius pro's calls and texts, the AI Waitlist fills cancellations, and review requests and Rebooking Reminders go out at checkout. Posting openings to Instagram, answering wedding marketplace enquiries and filing sales tax happen on other sites, which is where an agent like WebRun helps.
A GlossGenius booking site shows one business and no competitors
A client who books a lash fill through a GlossGenius site sees one business, with no marketplace of other artists nearby and no account to create first.
The pro builds the booking site in GlossGenius and gets booked from Google, Instagram, Facebook and Yelp. Deposits are set per service and taken at booking, and the owner decides whether new clients, everyone or nobody must leave a card. The cancellation policy the pro writes goes out automatically with every confirmation and reminder. Expenses, payroll for anyone the pro employs and separate accounts for booth renters are handled in the same GlossGenius account.
Between clients it is the phone in the artist's hand, holding the calendar, the checkout and Client Profiles with before-and-after photos and colour recipes. On a desk computer the same calendar opens in a browser.
A solo artist's evenings go on other people's websites
The leftover work happens on sites GlossGenius does not run, Instagram first. An artist who posts the coming week's openings checks the calendar, types out which days have space and for what, and does it again when two of them fill. Stories vanish after a day, so the whole thing goes up again on Monday.
A makeup artist or stylist who does weddings has a second inbox. Enquiries arrive through a wedding marketplace, each asking about one date, a party of six and a trial run, and the artist checks the calendar and prices the party from the service menu before the couple books someone else.
Retail adds a third site. Cuticle oil and lash cleanser sold at checkout carry sales tax in most states, and every month or quarter the artist signs in to the state's revenue site and files the return by hand.
GlossGenius's Social Templates still need the week's times typed in
Reception, GlossGenius's AI front desk, answers calls and texts day and night, booking appointments under the pro's own policies. When a conversation needs the pro, Reception hands it over with the full transcript. When a client cancels, the AI Waitlist alerts the clients waiting for that slot.
For openings the pro wants filled, the AI Marketing Assistant writes and sends an email or text promo for Thursday's empty slots to the right clients, and Social Templates give Instagram stories and posts a ready-made design. On the money side GlossGenius calculates sales tax automatically, and GlossGenius Payroll calculates, pays and files payroll taxes for anyone on staff.
GlossGenius's own blog tells pros to pick a template and add the week's openings themselves, so on Instagram the design is ready and the times are still typed by hand. Wedding enquiries arrive in the marketplace's own vendor inbox, outside GlossGenius. The sales tax figure is calculated for the artist, who still files the return on the state's revenue site.
Sunday's story caption lists next week's open slots by service
The caption for next week's openings could list them service by service, two lash fills on Thursday afternoon and one full set on Saturday morning, for the artist to post on Sunday night. The artist drops the text into a Social Template with a photo of last week's work, and posts it or skips the week. If two slots fill by Tuesday, the artist posts the next story from a shorter caption.
The artist could answer each bridal enquiry from a draft stating whether the date is free in GlossGenius, when a trial fits, and what a party of six costs at the service-menu prices, then edit it and send it from the marketplace inbox while the couple is still comparing artists.
The state's sales tax return could be filled in line by line from the tax GlossGenius calculated on retail, leaving the artist to check the figures, submit and pay when the filing period closes.
Captions come back as plain text for the artist's Social Template
GlossGenius opens in a desktop browser as well as on the phone, and each of those drafts starts from its calendar or its sales tax figures. WebRun is an AI agent that works a real Chrome browser, signed in as you. The artist picks the GlossGenius login it uses, and it signs in to the wedding marketplace's vendor inbox and the state's revenue site with the artist's own accounts.
The caption comes back as text to paste into a template, and the bridal reply comes back for the artist to adjust and send from the marketplace. On the state's site the return stops one step short of submit, for the artist to check and pay.
Closer to the chair, GlossGenius data feeds tip payout reports, sales digests, reminders, win-backs and welcomes for new clients, all set up on this page.
Questions people ask
Where do Social Templates fit in?
They supply the design, and your GlossGenius calendar supplies the times: the agent writes next week's free slots out service by service, for you to drop into whichever template you like.
Can it quote a bridal party from my service menu?
It can draft the quote. The enquiry gives the date, the party size and the trial; GlossGenius shows whether that day is free; your service menu prices each person. The reply comes back to you to change as you like before sending.
Can it file my sales tax return?
No, it stops before filing. The agent carries the sales tax GlossGenius calculated to the state's return form and fills it in; you check the figures, submit the return and pay.
