Automated Amplitude Weekly Metric Exports

Every Monday, WebRun opens the Amplitude dashboard you nominated, sets each saved chart to last week, exports the figures and the chart image into a dated folder in Google Drive, compares every metric with the previous week, and raises a Trello card for any number that moved more than your threshold so someone investigates it.

In short

How do I export my weekly product analytics without doing it by hand?

WebRun exports your product metrics every Monday. It opens the Amplitude dashboard you nominate, reads and exports each saved chart for the last full week, files everything in a dated Google Drive folder with an index, and raises a Trello card for any metric that moved past your threshold.

  • Last week's numbers are filed before Monday standup
  • Every sharp move gets a card instead of a shrug
  • The export history builds a record you can look back through

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens analytics.amplitude.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Amplitude - export last week's saved charts
    amplitude.com
WebRun in Amplitude: export last week's saved charts
WebRun opens Amplitude to export last week's saved charts.
    • Open the dashboard you nominated at setup
    • Set the date range on each saved chart to the last full week
    • Record the headline number for each chart and download the export where the chart offers one
    • Compare each metric with the previous week and note the percentage change

Done when Every chart on the dashboard has last week's number and a change on the week before.

  3. 2
Google Drive - file the dated export
    drive.google.com
WebRun in Google Drive: file the dated export
WebRun opens Google Drive to file the dated export.
    • Open the product analytics folder
    • Create a subfolder named for the week just ended
    • Save every export and chart image into it, named by metric
    • Add a short index file listing each metric, its number, and its change

Done when Last week's exports are filed in a dated Drive folder with an index.

  4. 3
Trello - raise a card on anything off trend
    trello.com
WebRun in Trello: raise a card on anything off trend
WebRun opens Trello to raise a card on anything off trend.
    • Open the product analytics board
    • Create a card for each metric that moved more than your threshold, up or down
    • Put the metric, the two weeks of numbers, and a link to the Drive folder on the card
    • Leave the interpretation to a person. WebRun does not guess why a number moved

Done when Every sharp move has a card waiting for someone to look into it.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it change my charts or dashboards?

No. WebRun adjusts the date range while it reads a chart and never saves a change, so your saved charts, dashboards, and definitions stay exactly as your team left them.

Does it explain why a metric moved?

No. It reports the two weeks of numbers and the size of the change, then raises a Trello card. Working out the cause is a person's job, because a wrong explanation is worse than none.

Can I control what counts as a sharp move?

Yes. You set the threshold at setup, for example ten percent week on week, and only metrics crossing it get a card, so the board stays short enough to act on.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
