In short

How do I get action items out of my notes and to the right people?

Every morning WebRun reads yesterday's Amplenote notes and daily jots, pulls out the tasks that belong to somebody else, and works out the owner from the tags and names in each note. It sends each teammate their own actions in Slack and posts the full owner list to Microsoft Teams.

  • Meeting outcomes leave the note taker's head the next morning
  • Each teammate gets only their own actions
  • Unassigned tasks are surfaced, not silently dropped

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens www.amplenote.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Amplenote - pull actions owned by others

    • Open Amplenote and read the notes and daily jots written since the last run
    • Pull out the tasks that name a person other than you, with their due date and tags
    • Work out the owner for each from the name or tag, and set anything ambiguous aside

Done when Yesterday's notes have yielded a list of tasks with an owner against each.

  3. 2
Slack - send each owner their actions
    slack.com

    • Send each teammate a short message with only the actions that belong to them
    • Include the due date and the note it came from, so the context travels with the task
    • Keep it inside your own workspace. WebRun never messages anyone outside it

Done when Every named owner has their own actions in Slack.

  4. 3
Microsoft Teams - post the full owner list
    microsoft.com
WebRun in Microsoft Teams: post the full owner list

    • Post the full list to your team channel, grouped by owner
    • Put the tasks WebRun could not confidently assign in their own section for you to sort
    • Note anything from an earlier day that is still open

Done when The team channel shows who owns what from yesterday's notes.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Can it message people outside my company?

No. It sends only inside your own Slack workspace and Teams channel. Clients, suppliers, and anyone named in a note but outside those tools are never contacted.

What happens to a task with no clear owner?

It goes into a separate section of the Teams post rather than being guessed at, so an action never lands on the wrong person's plate.

Does it change my notes?

No. WebRun reads your notes, jots, and tasks and leaves them exactly as written. It never edits a note, ticks a task, or changes a tag in Amplenote.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
