Automated Amex Offer and Credit Tracking

Every Monday, WebRun signs in to your American Express account, lists the Amex Offers you have not added yet and the statement credits still unused this period, checks recent transactions to see which credits have already been triggered, raises a Trello card per expiry date, and posts the list to Slack.

In short

How do I make sure I use my card offers and statement credits?

WebRun reviews your American Express account every Monday, listing the Amex Offers you have not added and the statement credits still unused this period. It raises a dated Trello card for each and posts the total on the table to Slack, so the annual fee is offset instead of quietly wasted.

  • Statement credits get used before the period resets
  • Every unclaimed offer carries its value and its deadline
  • The total left on the table is visible every Monday

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens www.americanexpress.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
American Express - find unclaimed offers and credits
    americanexpress.com
WebRun in American Express: find unclaimed offers and credits
WebRun opens American Express to find unclaimed offers and credits.
    • Sign in to your American Express account and open the offers area on each card
    • List the offers still available to add, with what each is worth and the date it stops being offered
    • List the statement credits attached to your card and how much of each is unused this period
    • Read recent transactions to see which credits have already been triggered, so nothing is double counted
    • Note the reset date on each credit, monthly or annual, and the expiry date on each offer
    • Leave the account alone. WebRun never adds an offer, makes a payment, or changes a card setting

Done when Every unclaimed offer and unused credit is listed with its value and its date.

  3. 2
Trello - raise a card per expiry
    trello.com
WebRun in Trello: raise a card per expiry
WebRun opens Trello to raise a card per expiry.
    • Open your finance board in Trello and create a card per offer or credit with a deadline
    • Put the value, the card it belongs to, and the exact expiry or reset date on each card
    • Set the card due date a week before the deadline, so there is time to actually use it
    • Close a card automatically on a later run once the credit shows as used

Done when Trello holds a dated card per unclaimed offer and unused credit.

  4. 3
Slack - post the weekly list
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: post the weekly list
WebRun opens Slack to post the weekly list.
    • Post the weekly list to your own Slack channel: offers to add, credits unused, and the total value on the table
    • Put anything expiring inside thirty days at the top with its date
    • Show what was used since last Monday, so the value actually claimed is visible
    • Leave adding an offer and spending to you. WebRun never triggers a transaction

Done when Slack has this week's unclaimed value with the nearest deadlines first.

Questions, answered

Will it add offers or spend on my card?

No. WebRun reads your account and lists what is unclaimed. Adding an offer, making a purchase, and paying a bill stay with you, so no money moves and no card setting changes.

How does it know a credit is already used?

It reads your recent transactions alongside the credit balance shown on the card, so a credit already triggered this period is marked used rather than listed again.

What about monthly credits that reset?

Each card records its own reset date, monthly or annual, and WebRun sets the Trello due date a week ahead of it, so a monthly credit is used before the period rolls over.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
