In short

How do I see which merchants can charge my account automatically?

Every Monday, WebRun signs into your Alipay account, reads the auto debit agreements you have granted, and lists every merchant that can charge you without asking. It matches each agreement against the transactions it actually took last month, logs the lot in Google Sheets, and files the review in Notion.

  • Every recurring charge agreement sits in one list with what it last took
  • Dormant agreements are surfaced for you to cancel by hand
  • A charge that quietly rose is flagged rather than absorbed

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens www.alipay.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Alipay - read every auto debit agreement
    alipay.com
WebRun in Alipay: read every auto debit agreement
WebRun opens Alipay to read every auto debit agreement.
    • Sign in to Alipay and open the payment settings that hold your automatic payment agreements
    • List every merchant holding an agreement, with the date it was granted and its current state
    • Search the transaction records for charges taken by each of those merchants in the last month
    • Note any agreement that has taken nothing for three months, and any charge that is larger than the one before it
    • Read only. WebRun never cancels an agreement, never authorises a payment, and never moves money

Done when Every auto debit agreement is listed with its merchant, its state, and what it charged last month.

  3. 2
Notion - file the monthly review
    notion.so
WebRun in Notion: file the monthly review
WebRun opens Notion to file the monthly review.
    • Add this week's entry to your finance review page
    • Summarise the total committed to automatic charges and how it moved against last month
    • List the dormant agreements as candidates to cancel by hand, with the date each last charged
    • Flag any charge that rose against the previous month so the increase is noticed, not absorbed

Done when The finance page holds this week's review with dormant agreements and rising charges called out.

  4. 3
Google Sheets - log merchants and amounts
    google.com
WebRun in Google Sheets: log merchants and amounts
WebRun opens Google Sheets to log merchants and amounts.
    • Open the auto debit register and update a row per merchant agreement
    • Fill in the merchant, the date granted, the state, the last charge date, and last month's amount
    • Keep a running total per merchant across the year so a slow price rise is visible
    • Mark rows for agreements you have cancelled yourself so they drop out of the active list

Done when The register holds a current row for every agreement with its amounts and dates.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it cancel an agreement for me?

No. WebRun reads your Alipay settings and reports what it finds. Cancelling an automatic payment agreement can stop a service you still use, so every cancellation is done by hand.

Will it move money or make a payment?

No. WebRun never authorises a payment, never transfers funds, and never enters card or account details anywhere. It only reads the agreements and the transaction records already in your account.

How does it spot a dormant agreement?

By matching each agreement against the transaction records. Any merchant that holds a live agreement but has taken nothing for three months is listed as a candidate for you to cancel.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
