Automated Wire Guest Access Audit

Every morning, WebRun opens Wire, lists the conversations with guests still in them, records the devices signed in across your team, writes the access picture into Airtable, and texts you over Twilio when a guest room has gone quiet or a new device appeared.

In short

How do I audit guest access and signed-in devices in a team chat?

WebRun opens Wire every morning and lists the conversations with guests still in them, the guest links still active, and every device signed in across your team. It records the picture in Airtable, marks what changed since yesterday, and texts you over Twilio when guest access has gone stale or a new device appeared.

  • Guest access ends when the project does, not months later
  • A new device on a team account is named the next morning
  • Access changes are recorded daily instead of reconstructed later

Built for security admins · IT teams · agencies with client rooms · privacy-conscious companies

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.wire.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Wire - list guests and devices
    wire.com
WebRun in Wire: list guests and devices
WebRun opens Wire to list guests and devices.
    • Open Wire and list the conversations that still have guests in them
    • Record each guest, the conversation they are in, and the date of the last message
    • List the devices signed in for each team member with the date each was added
    • Note guest links that are still active and open to anyone holding them

Done when Every guest and every signed-in device has been listed with its dates.

  3. 2
Airtable - record the access picture
    airtable.com
WebRun in Airtable: record the access picture
WebRun opens Airtable to record the access picture.
    • Write today's guests and devices into your access base in Airtable
    • Keep one row per guest per conversation, and one row per device per member
    • Mark rows that were not there yesterday as new, and rows that vanished as removed
    • Calculate days since the last message for every guest room

Done when Airtable holds today's access rows with the new and removed ones marked.

  4. 3
Twilio - text what should be closed
    twilio.com
WebRun in Twilio: text what should be closed
WebRun opens Twilio to text what should be closed.
    • Text you the guest rooms with no message for longer than the period you set
    • Name any device added to a team account since yesterday, with the member it belongs to
    • Flag guest links still active on a project that has already finished
    • Send only to your own security contacts, never to a guest

Done when You know which guest access and which devices need reviewing today.

Questions, answered

Will it remove a guest or sign out a device?

No. WebRun reports what it finds and the removal stays with an admin in Wire. Signing out a device or ejecting a guest is irreversible mid-project, so a person makes that call.

Does it read the messages in those conversations?

No. This workflow reads access only: who is in a conversation, when the last message was sent, and which devices are signed in. Message content is never captured or sent anywhere.

How does it decide a guest room is stale?

By silence. Set the number of days without a message that means a project is over, and WebRun flags any guest conversation past it, along with guest links still active on finished work.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
