Automated Wire Chat Action Item Capture
Every evening, WebRun opens the Wire conversations you nominate, reads the day's messages for commitments and decisions, creates a Trello card for each one with the person who took it on, and files a dated summary of what was decided in Notion.
How do I turn commitments made in team chat into tracked tasks?
WebRun opens the Wire conversations you nominate each evening, reads the day's messages for commitments and decisions, and creates one Trello card per commitment with its owner and a quote of the source message. It then files a dated log of decisions and open questions in Notion.
- Promises made in chat become cards the same evening
- Decisions are written down instead of scrolling out of view
- Each card quotes the message it came from, so context survives

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.
-
WebRun signs in and gets to work
Opens

1
Wire - read the day's nominated conversations
WebRun opens Wire to read the day's nominated conversations. - Open Wire and read only the conversations on the list you nominate
- Pick out commitments where someone said they would do something, plus decisions the group agreed
- Capture who committed, what they committed to and any date mentioned, ignoring small talk
Done when Every commitment and decision from today's nominated conversations is captured with an owner.
-
2
Trello - open a card per commitment
WebRun opens Trello to open a card per commitment. - Open your team board in Trello and check the inbox list for anything already captured
- Create one card per new commitment with the owner, the due date if one was mentioned and a quote of the message it came from
- Skip anything that already has a card, so a commitment repeated over two days does not become two cards
Done when Every new commitment has exactly one Trello card with an owner.
-
3
Notion - file the decisions log
WebRun opens Notion to file the decisions log. - Add a dated entry to your decisions log in Notion
- List the decisions the group reached, separately from the individual commitments
- Note anything raised but left unresolved so it is not lost when the chat scrolls
Done when Today's decisions and open questions are on record in Notion.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Does it read all of my conversations?
No. It reads only the conversations you put on the nominated list, usually a handful of team channels. Direct messages and every conversation you leave off the list are never opened.
Will it reply or post in Wire?
No. WebRun reads Wire and writes nothing back. It never sends a message, never reacts, and never marks anything. The only things it creates are Trello cards and a Notion entry on your own boards.
What stops it creating duplicate cards?
It checks the Trello inbox list before creating anything and skips commitments that already have a card, so the same promise repeated across two days stays a single task.
Put this on autopilot.
Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
