Automated Extensiv Carrier Cost Variance Report

Every Monday, WebRun opens Extensiv Small Parcel Suite, pulls actual carrier charges versus expected rates for the prior week's shipments, logs variances by client and carrier to Google Sheets, and sends a Telegram alert to your ops lead so overbills are caught before client invoices go out.

In short

How do I automatically track carrier cost variances across my Extensiv shipments?

Every Monday, WebRun opens Extensiv Small Parcel Suite, compares actual carrier charges against expected rates for the prior week's shipments, and logs variances by client and carrier to Google Sheets. A Telegram alert tells your ops lead the total overbill exposure so disputes are raised before client invoices are finalized.

  • Carrier overbills caught before they appear on client invoices
  • Weekly net overbill exposure quantified without manual rate comparison
  • Ops lead alerted to the highest-variance carrier every Monday

Questions, answered

Will it dispute the overbill with the carrier automatically?

No. Carrier disputes require human judgment and documentation. WebRun flags the variance and quantifies the exposure so your team can decide whether to dispute, absorb, or pass on the charge.

Where does it get the expected carrier rate to compare against?

It uses the contracted or quoted rates stored in Extensiv Small Parcel Suite. If your contracted rates are not configured in Extensiv, the comparison defaults to a prior-period average instead.

Does it cover all carriers or just specific ones?

It covers every carrier integrated into Extensiv Small Parcel Suite for your account, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, and regional carriers. The report filters to only carriers with at least one variance.
