Automated Tax Resolution Approval Routing
When a resolution proposal is marked ready for review in Canopy, WebRun reads the case details and proposed resolution terms, prepares a DocuSign approval envelope for the signing partner, and sends an internal Slack notification to the assigned reviewer with the case summary and a link to the pending envelope.
How do I automatically route tax resolution proposals to a partner for approval after a case manager finishes them?
When a case manager marks a resolution proposal ready for review in Canopy, WebRun compiles the case summary, prepares a DocuSign approval envelope for the reviewing partner, and sends a direct Slack notification with the case details and a link to sign. No proposal moves forward without the partner's explicit approval in DocuSign.
- Proposals routed to the right partner within minutes of case manager completion
- No resolution submitted to the IRS without explicit partner sign-off in DocuSign
- Manual handoff emails and tracking eliminated from the approval process
Built for tax resolution firms · CPA firm partners · enrolled agent practices · tax case managers

Secure by default

WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it submit the resolution proposal to the IRS after the partner signs?
No. The DocuSign signature represents internal approval only. Submitting any form or proposal to the IRS remains a deliberate action performed by your staff.
How does it know which partner to route to?
It reads the case assignment in Canopy. Your firm sets the partner assignment per case or per case type, and WebRun follows that assignment for every routing decision.
What if the reviewing partner rejects the proposal?
If the partner declines to sign in DocuSign, that status is visible in the DocuSign envelope. WebRun does not currently send an automatic rejection notice, so the case manager should monitor the envelope or be notified directly by the partner.
